You’ll learn: the structure, function and physiology of the human body and how nurses care for their patients.
Expect: at least 315 hours of work experience on a NHS hospital ward where you will be expected to work alongside the Nursing team.
You’ll love: our mock ward with a variety of mannequin patients and hospital standard equipment.
This T level is an exciting opportunity which will allow you to balance both recognised academic knowledge and its relative importance in the workplace.
Working in a real setting, with supporting professional expertise will enable you to make clear connections between theory and practice. In this ever changing, but always important, career sector, having the opportunity to develop such high level skills, work in the sector and work closely with a professional organisation will allow you to showcase your skills. You will gain knowledge in skill areas such as assisting adult nursing teams with clinical tasks, , support individuals to meet activities of daily living and assist with skin integrity assessments. These skills will be underpinned with knowledge in areas such as anatomy and physiology, healthy nutrition and care routines, understanding the use and calibration of clinical equipment and policy and guidelines.

Assessment
Assessment will be through examinations, an employer set project and practical assignments. This will all contribute to you being able to demonstrate knowledge and skills throughout this area of study.

Age Criteria: Under 19
Gloucestershire College welcome any other/combinations of relevant qualifications that are comparable and/or equivalent to the typical course entry requirements.
Applicants that do not have recognised qualifications may still meet course entry requirements through alternative methods of assessment at the College’s discretion.

The application process will involve mandatory completion of a Pre-Interview Activity, attendance to a briefing session and an interview to determine your suitability for this course.
