You’ll learn: The qualification will help you gain an understanding of the Management and Administration sector and you will cover topics such as: Business Context, People, Quality Compliance, Project, and Change Management.
Expect: to develop the skills you need to manage and improve your own performance.

This qualification focuses on the development of knowledge and skills needed to work in the Management and Administration sector and prepares you to enter the sector through employment or as an Apprentice. Furthermore, the completion of this qualifications gives you the opportunity to progress onto higher education courses and training.
This qualification will suit someone who is not yet employed or looking to enter the Management and Administration sector after further education. The structure of the qualification is designed to give you the breadth of knowledge and understanding across the Management and Administration sector but also equips you with necessary occupational and core skills to enter the sector.
Assessment
There are exams as part of this qualifications as well as other forms of assessment.
Assessment will be through examinations, an employer set project and practical assignments. This will all contribute to you being able to demonstrate knowledge and skills throughout this area of study.
Work Placement
You will need an industry placement of at least 45 days (315 hours minimum) in your chosen industry or occupation working on live projects that are bespoke to you.

Gloucestershire College welcome any other/combinations of relevant qualifications that are comparable and/or equivalent to the typical course entry requirements.
Applicants that do not have recognised qualifications may still meet course entry requirements through alternative methods of assessment at the College’s discretion.

Upon completion you may want to progress on to our HNC in Business (Management), apply for higher education or progress onto an apprenticeship or employment.
