Health and Social Care Apprenticeships (all options)

Health and Social Care Apprenticeships (all options)

Level M

Course Overview

Part Time
Certificate

Care work can be demanding and challenging but it is also worthwhile and very rewarding. Social care usually takes place in the home, in care homes or in the community. It can include anything from helping people get dressed to transporting them to and from a residential home or taking them shopping.

This apprenticeship will equip apprentices with a good range of key skills and knowledge, enabling them to help people with particular needs and disabilities in their everyday lives.

If you are undecided or unsure about starting an apprenticeship or are not sure of the skill type or level that’s right for you, apply here. We will arrange to meet you for a guidance and interview session, we’ll explain the different routes open to you and the types of local work and careers this training can lead to.

Application process

Please click on the 'shortlist and apply' button to start your application.   You will be contacted by a member of the Apprenticeship team who will explain the next step.

  • In order to start an apprenticeship programme, you must be employed. However, don’t let that put you off. We can help you find an apprentice position, or guide you to other learning to support your ambitions while you search for the right apprenticeship opportunity. All applicants are assessed at interview to ensure correct levels of study. Prior qualifications or experience in a relevant job will be taken into consideration.

  • On completion of qualification and based on job role there may be opportunities to progress to the next level.

I preferred GC over university as it had more flexible learning around my employment, my lessons were in the evenings meaning I could work in a nursery during the day. My dream career is to run my own nursery, and this course helped me learn important management skills to get myself where I need to be.
